The Beatles recorded, "Across the Universe" February 4, 1968 in London and released it in the United States under the United Artists label in 1970. The year 1969 was a year for searching and liberation for John Lennon. He had already been to Maharishi and in September 1969 invited Swami Bhaktivedanta (founder of the Hare Krishna movement) to be a guest at Tittenhurst Park, John Lennon's 80 acre British estate. The Swami, later became known to the world as Srila Prabhupada, would discuss many things as peace, liberation, eternality of the soul, reincarnation, God, qualifications of the guru, and the Indian spritual classic Bhagavad-gita.
